The Swiss Air Force Cougar helicopters have inspired this watch so it is not surprising if you find helicopter blades right on the dial. The Victorinox Alpnach Automatic Chronograph Pilot’s Watch comes with a PVD stainless steel case measuring 43mm and sells for $1,400.
This timepiece has a black dial with a matching black leather strap with white stitching. It has four complications for the chronograph, date, countdown and the tachometer. Large Arabic numbers from 1 to 5 o’clock indicate the hours in the main dial but they fade away from 6 to 12 o’clock.
There are three subdials one of which shows the seconds indicator with a unique-looking chopper four-blade which looks like the four-blade rotors of the Cougar multi-mission helicopters which is the pride of the Swiss army.
And since this is a pilot watch expect a multitude of functions to support any competitive aviator. The Superluminova fluorescent-coated numerals and hands allow you to check the time anytime of the day and no matter the light condition.
The Victorinox Alpnach Automatic Chronograph Pilot’s Watch has an automatic Valjoux 7750 movement and has a 46-hour power reserve. It is water-resistant by up to 100 meters.
