Locman Marina Militare Automatic

There is something confusing about this Locman watch. From the way it’s presented, it clearly states that it is a marine watch. Well, you need not look at it to know that it is such. The name itself, Marina Militare, implies that it is indeed a Navy watch. But then, if you are to look closer, there are also features that reveal an aviator watch.

Everything on the dial is of an aviator style of watch. From the form of the numerals to the hour hands and to the minute hands, everything is aviator style.

What only provides it to be a diver’s watch is the numbered bezel in stainless steel, the blue rubber bracelet, the circled case, the crown’s position and the emblem of an Italian Naval Academy located at 9 o’ clock.

It measures 44mm wide and is also available in a chronograph version with quartz movement.

The combination of marine and aviator in this Locman timepiece is more or less fine-looking, although not too elegant or too muscular, just right for a perfect fit.
