In celebration of IWC Schaffhausen’s 140 years in the business, they have come out with six of their legendary watches from different periods in their history. All of which are crafted in its vintage style but still holding an eye-catching totality.
One of the six is the Pilot’s watch who still has its classical cockpit design unchanged. Like the other watches in the collection, this particular one is made in 44mm stainless steel or platinum case with either silver-plated or black dial framed in anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
It also has a rotating pointer bezel, a hand-wound pocket watch movement, and a sub-dial for the separate seconds. The hands and the numerals are obviously in luminescent. The platinum-cased watch is mounted on a black buffalo leather strap, while the stainless steel is on a brown one.
The watches are said to be of a price ranging from $10,000 to $15,000. Well it is indeed a very pricey watch but just right for a vintage IWC timepiece. And if you want the platinum, better hurry as it comes in only 500 limited edition pieces.
