Either a watch is crafted for the sake of having another design added in their collection, or they are created with a thought of a new technology that can be incorporated to the watch. There are also watch makers who produce watches to pay tribute to something.
Such is the case of IWC who just recently presented their new version of the IWC Top Gun with a reference of IW371803. This watch is of limited edition and is built to commemorate the German National Football team.
Unlike the original Top Gun watch, this version only shows a brushed stainless steel case in 44mm diameter rather than in titanium and ceramic. It also features a white dial with split-second hands of red and yellow color, suggesting the colors of the German flag.
It also has a 30-minutes counter at 12 o’clock and a three-day display and date window at three o’clock. There will be five hundred pieces available of this IWC chronograph, with each having a fabric strap and a stainless steel buckle with the IWC symbol engraved.
Although the Top Gun edition retailed for over $10,000, this new chronograph IW371803 is expected to arrive in a much cheaper price since it did not use the titanium and ceramic case like the original.
