We’ve been accustomed to seeing sub-dials in circular form that seeing a squarish sub-dial will make us look twice. This is exactly what happened when we saw the Girard-Perregaux Foudrayante 18k Gold watch, the perfect gift for someone who knows quality watch just by looking at it.
The Girard-Perregaux Foudrayante 18k Gold watch is a limited edition watch and is pretty expensive at $36,050. It comes in an 18 Karat yellow gold case matched with an elegant brown crocodile leather strap.
The watch sports a clean-looking ivory dial with goldtone Arabic numerals in different sizes. The luminous hand indicators make the watch an ideal timepiece even when you’re in the dark or in a difficult lighting situation.
There are actually three squares on the face of the watch, but only two of these are sub-dials. They indicate a split second chronograph with jumping 1/8 second. It is powered by a Swiss Automatic chronograph movement and protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
The Girard-Perregaux Foudrayante 18k Gold watch is water resistant to about 100 feet, not enough to keep you in the waters with your watch, but just right to allow you to enjoy the drizzling rain.
