Watches have ceased to be just merely devices that tell the time. Take a look at the Corum Bubble Dive Bomber Limited Edition “Flying Shark” watch and you will realize these devices have also become works of art.
The Corum Bubble Dive Bomber Limited Edition “Flying Shark” comes with an exaggerated domes sapphire crystal which is a limited edition version of the Corum Bubble series. The main attraction for this watch is of course the green flying shark image on the black dial, which clearly pays homage to the flying shark nose art identified with the World War II P-47 fighters.
The watch comes in a big satin-finished case measuring 44.5mm wide. The unidirectional rotating bezel has Arabic numerals in 5-minute interval. The face of the watch is designed in a way such that you wouldn’t easily recognize the Arabic numerals to signify 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock. The flying theme is reinforced by the second hand which looks like a three-bladed propeller.
The military style black leather strap fits the entire watch design. It is powered by an ETA 2892-A2 automatic movement with 21 jewels. The watch, which sells for $3,195, is water resistant by up to 650 feet so you can wear it even when you have to engage in outdoor activities that will require some water splashes.

Does anyone know what this watch is worth brand new as of now (2/28/11)? I have a new onw with all papers, boxes and authenticity cards and am having a hard time finding a new one for sale as a comp. Any input I’d appreciate, thanks.
