Chronoswiss Tachoscope Audi Centennial Edition

If you want to splurge on accessories then here’s one that’s’ clearly an overpriced accessory. The Chronoswiss Tachoscope Audi Centennial Edition was specifically made to commemorate Audi’s 100th anniversary and unless you prefer Audi’s cars then this watch is a nice alternative.

The Chronoswiss Tachoscope Audi Centennial Edition looks like an ordinary watch but with a high price and has no other unique features to boast of. Just like the other watches the minute hand is positioned centrally and has two sub-dials located at 6 o’clock for the seconds and at 12 o’clock for the hour function.

This timepiece has a chronograph counter you can operate with a single pusher that looks dominant as it protrudes through the winding crown. Audi claims that the watch was inspired by the instruments used in the Auto Union race cars of the 1930s but honestly the watch looks more like a blood pressure if not a tire gauge. But that may be the inspiration.

The Chronoswiss Tachoscope Audi Centennial Edition costs an arm and leg at €14,900 for the white gold version and €24,900 for the platinum version. Both have a Caliber C.125 movement based on the Enicar 165 movement.

This watch has a 35-hour power reserve and comes with a white gold or platinum case measuring 38mm as well as a transparent caseback. It has a white dial with a black alligator strap with a folding clasp and crystal sapphire.
