This version of IWC’s Pilot’s watch has a case made of ceramic which makes this watch very sturdy but lightweight. This also has an equally lightweight strap made of nylon. Aside from its impressive lightweight exterior, this watch also has a very impressive mechanical movement which is made to protect itself from magnetic fields. This watch has functions of hour, minutes, and seconds counter as well as a date and day indicator. The black dial of this watch is presented in black color accented with luminous hour markers and indexes as well as the hands. This watch also has the Top Gun logo engraved on the side of the case and on the case back.

This Pilot Watch from IWC is not yet set to be released. IWC has not made any announcements regarding its release dates but you can expect this to come in the following months.

IWC will be releasing a watch inspired from a football player. They have chosen one of the best football players of all time, Zidane. Zidane had proved his greatness when it comes to football that’s why IWC still chose him to be their ambassador despite of retiring in the past years.

IWC included only the best materials in this watch for the best player. This watch is run by IWC caliber 80111 movement which has a power reserve of 44 hours. This automatic winding is enclosed in a stainless steel with sapphire crystal. It has a fixed bezel and a dial with tachymeter and stainless hour markers. The dial also highlights the number 10 which is the jersey number of Zidane when he was still playing football. It also has a date indicator located on the 3 o’clock position. This watch includes a blue leather strap which completes its sporty look. The watch features the engraved face of Zidane, his name, and the word “world champion 1998.”

This watch is a limited edition and they will be releasing only 1000 pieces of this worldwide.

In celebration of IWC Schaffhausen’s 140 years in the business, they have come out with six of their legendary watches from different periods in their history. All of which are crafted in its vintage style but still holding an eye-catching totality.

One of the six is the Pilot’s watch who still has its classical cockpit design unchanged. Like the other watches in the collection, this particular one is made in 44mm stainless steel or platinum case with either silver-plated or black dial framed in anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

It also has a rotating pointer bezel, a hand-wound pocket watch movement, and a sub-dial for the separate seconds. The hands and the numerals are obviously in luminescent. The platinum-cased watch is mounted on a black buffalo leather strap, while the stainless steel is on a brown one.

The watches are said to be of a price ranging from $10,000 to $15,000. Well it is indeed a very pricey watch but just right for a vintage IWC timepiece. And if you want the platinum, better hurry as it comes in only 500 limited edition pieces.

Either a watch is crafted for the sake of having another design added in their collection, or they are created with a thought of a new technology that can be incorporated to the watch. There are also watch makers who produce watches to pay tribute to something.

Such is the case of IWC who just recently presented their new version of the IWC Top Gun with a reference of IW371803. This watch is of limited edition and is built to commemorate the German National Football team.

Unlike the original Top Gun watch, this version only shows a brushed stainless steel case in 44mm diameter rather than in titanium and ceramic. It also features a white dial with split-second hands of red and yellow color, suggesting the colors of the German flag.

It also has a 30-minutes counter at 12 o’clock and a three-day display and date window at three o’clock. There will be five hundred pieces available of this IWC chronograph, with each having a fabric strap and a stainless steel buckle with the IWC symbol engraved.

Although the Top Gun edition retailed for over $10,000, this new chronograph IW371803 is expected to arrive in a much cheaper price since it did not use the titanium and ceramic case like the original.
