Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2010

November 18, 2010, State of Geneva – The Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix (GPHG) celebrated its 10th anniversary in giving honor to watchmakers who lived by their creativity, dynamism and skills within the watch industry.

The Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix or Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève started back in year 2001 and since then, it annually salutes watchmaking creativity, skill and expertise. For this year, 11 excellent watchmakers were given the recognition for their outstanding performances as witnessed by over 1500 watchmaking aficionados.

The ceremony started in a festive atmosphere as the venue was filled with feathers, champagnes, and kabuki, a Japanese dance – drama, that liven up the evening. Winners of this…

F.P. Journe Vagabondage II Comes With A History

Octa Automatique Lune from F.P. Journe

F.P. Journe has created another watch that is truly another classic from his collections of great watches. He has created the Octa Automatique Lune which is a watch with a complicated movement in a very stylish presentation.

This watch by F.P. Journe is crafted from polished stainless steel case which houses the complicated automatic winding caliber 1300.3 which has a power reserve of 120 hours or 5 days.
